One of the biggest compliments we can get is when a past client reaches out for our help again! So, when one of our favourite past clients reached out for help with her home office, we were thrilled to come on board and accept the small space challenge!
This project was a bit of a tricky one - with the likeliness that this space was not going to be long term we needed to work within a tight budget and an even tighter physical area to meet lots of the functional requirements to operate from this space.
The challenge was to create a functional workspace for two adults running two full time (busy!) businesses in a very tight space. Fortunately, we were able to utilize an empty ‘overflow’ room that could act as a space for additional storage and more comfortable meetings for the two of them. With the need for lots of storage of paperwork, product samples, computers, scanners, shredders and more we had our work cut out for us!
Let’s take a look at the before….
Through using small scale and light (both in color -mostly white, and visually lighter) pieces our hope was to keep the space from feeling too cramped while still being completely functional. Our client played a key role in ensuring what was selected was sturdy and functional enough for her needs while being the appropriate scale for her space. Fortunately for us she has great style and is a savvy shopper so it was a wonderful collaboration. We were able to re-use a few of her existing pieces and selectively bring in new furniture and a few accessories to create the modern meets feminine office space. Take a look at the reveal below!
